I don't think you could ever go wrong when choosing a velvet chair. Or any velvet piece of furniture for that matter. Velvet is timeless, beautiful, and SO soft. What is not to love??
I am currently knee deep in reupholstering a club chair with velvet fabric, so I thought that I would share some inspiration that lead me here! Starting with my favorite, this luxe toffee brown velvet GOODNESS by Lisa Stanton Design.
This pair of gorgeous chairs from Room & Board make me weak in the knees. I don't think I've ever seen a piece of velvet furniture that doesn't look comfortable. Give me a cup of coffee and put me in one of these beauties and I'll stay there forever. Or I'll try at least...
Every single space of Melinda's (@hawkes.landing) is perfect, but this one has my heart. And so does that sofa. Whether it's vintage or new, velvet furniture always makes a statement.
Shades of blue and green in velvet form are consistently my favorite. Like these throw pillows that I don't think I'll ever be able to part with. I can pretty much guarantee that if I don't put a piece of velvet furniture in a room, I will most definitely be putting some velvet pillows in it instead.

OR WHY NOT BOTH??? Velvet always holds my attention. Whether there is a lot of it, or just a touch. It softens a room, and brings drama at the same time.
Here three shades of velvet that I am currently LOVING:
Brown is definitely making a come back (in fashion and interiors), but it will always be a timeless choice. I need this curved back sofa by Mcgee & Co.
This color makes me want to drink wine and listen to classical music. And I am totally cool with it.
3. Dusty Pink
Pink will always be one of my favorite colors. Especially when it is dusty and soft like on this sofa from Urban Outfitters.
So tell me, what is your favorite shade of velvet?
